Les Chutes de Montmorency à Québec dans la nuit

It felt far later at night than it actually was when we walked across the suspension bridge swinging gently over Les Chutes de Montmorency in Québec. Daylight Savings time always takes a couple of weeks to get used to, and one week in it's proving a bit of a struggle for my body to accept that what feels like past midnight is actually still only about 20:00. The sound of the falls itself is mammoth and the whole world appears to be moving at an incredible speed when looking down over them. I could have spent hours taking in the sound and the rapids, but the cold urged us on. Somehow, when walking along the road above on the way back to the car, we could no longer hear them – another example of something that, despite their size and presence up close, could easily be missed if you weren't paying attention to your surroundings.
